We are headed to the Austin 360 Bridge! Out and about in Austin for a little adventure. This fun and bustling city is unlike anywhere else in Texas. It’s a mix of eclectic music, good times, great food, fitness and outdoor fun. You seriously never know what you will find down the street or even in your backyard.

Moving to Austin
I have lived in Austin almost two years now. Before I started this blog Scott and I were in a long distance relationship for a very long time. Whenever I visited him from New Jersey I was super excited to see him. But also I couldn’t wait for all the new and fun things we were going to do. I probably put a bit too much pressure on every trip to be fun and jam packed with entertainment.
Now that I have been down here with a while I sometimes feel I have become too settled in. I don’t have the same thirst for adventure I once did. Those bucket lists I once wrote don’t get updated anymore. I have decided to change that. You never know if you will live somewhere forever, and I am a firm believer you have to create your own magic. It’s not just going to show up on your front door.
As you know I feature a lot of nutritious recipes and fitness related posts on the blog since my focus is to help others live a healthier and happier life. However, I don’t want you to ever forget that a huge piece of that equation is building a life you are enjoying. Making plans and getting out into the world is a big part of designing the life of your dreams. That, my friends, is a big part of healthy living too.
The Hill Country
We live in a little suburb right outside of Austin called Bee Cave. It’s nestled in the Hill Country and the views of the hills and the surrounding lakes are absolutely beautiful. Matthew McConaughey lives around here if that tells you anything.
Last Friday we decided to venture out to see the views from the Austin 360 Bridge. It was absolutely beautiful and I wanted to share some of the pictures with you today! I just upgraded to what I call a big girl camera. It’s a DSLR with a lot of bells and whistles I am in the process of trying to figure out! The verdict? Even with my novice camera skills the photos are next level.
The views are a quick five minute hike from the road. We parked and got ready to hike on up! It was only a quick five minute hike from the road. At the top there were stunning views of Lake Austin, Pennybraker Bridge, and the city of Austin skyline.
There were two different views on each side of the road and we hiked up both separately. It was a fun little outing where we could see a little more of the beauty of the city. The drive was only about 10 minutes so that is pretty much your backyard in Texas. Remember – everything is bigger here.
I hope you enjoyed being out and about in Austin with me! I’ll be sure to take you along for the next adventure too.
