Help a Girl Out! Readership Survey
I flipped the calendar last week and couldn’t believe it was December already! Where did the time go? But then again I feel like I say this all the time now. I believe it’s totally related to getting older. The end of the year always prompts me to reflect and of course this website was part of my thought process. A lot changed on The Bikini Experiment this past year. As we charge into 2017, I want to make sure I’m providing you the content that you want to see here. So I figured I’d ask you! The readership survey is only 5 questions and will help shape what’s to come next year.
2016 in Review
The Bikini Experiment grew up quite a bit this year. I have shared that discovering health and fitness in my early 30s was a total game changer for me. It filled a void that I had been feeling in my life for a long time. When I stopped pursuing acting I moved into a career in corporate marketing. It never felt like it was the right fit for me. I didn’t really know what else to do though. So I stayed in it for years even though I was never fulfilled. In fact, I was often very unhappy going into work everyday.
How TBE Started
I dove into clean eating and weight training regularly. What I was learning was too good not to share so I channeled my efforts into starting a blog. Getting certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach also became huge goals of mine as well. I wanted to create content that would help women live a healthier lifestyle when they weren’t sure where to start.
Healthy living can often be a little isolating if other you know aren’t necessarily on board. I often turned to online sources for a sense of community. A lot of blogs I found in my space focused on sharing their daily healthy living activities. As a total newbie, I assumed this is what people liked.
I shared similar content to what I saw out there. I blogged every day and it was all a bit random. There was no schedule of any kind. When I go back through my archives I find posts with my workouts or what I ate. Maybe a few recipes with dimly lit photos. Gosh, they need to be re-done already! There’s also randomness with favorites of the week and interviews/surveys. I always enjoyed writing, but I didn’t prioritize good photography or creating videos. That all changed this past year!
Change is Constant
However, The Bikini Experiment always has to evolve to stay relevant. Now that I try to plan ahead (thank goodness) I’m looking at 2017 and wondering what should be next? It’s important to put my efforts where it will help you.
This 5 question readership survey is my way of finding out what’s useful to you. There’s so much thrown out there online that I certainly don’t want to add to that clutter. Eliminating the guesswork is what I am hoping to accomplish here.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you who comes to this online space regularly. You welcome me into your kitchen and take me along to the gym for your workouts. Thank you for trusting me to help you on your health journey. 2017 is going to be the best year yet.
