Hello! How are you doing today? My plans for today include a whole lot of studying. As I mentioned in Friday’s post I am starting a new job as a personal trainer at a local gym very soon. I am trying to get ahead of my studying for the certification I need as much as possible. I also have a little project that I am working on behind the scenes here at The Bikini Experiment. So it will be a busy one!
Eating well and fitness are a huge part of a living a healthy lifestyle. However, beauty products and the selections you choose can also have a large impact on how you look and feel. My favorites do rotate from time to time. I also enjoy experimenting a little with the brands I like the most. I believe there is a huge benefit in using natural products. It helps to minimize chemical exposure from the items we use daily. There are so many nice hair, make up and skin essentials to choose in the world of beauty that it is really easy to focus on quality ingredients. Many brands out there do not include unwanted additives or preservatives.
So let us take a look at the beauty products I love right now! I am always on the hunt for new ones so please share in the comment section below. I would like to hear if you have made any great discoveries.
Beauty Products I Love
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – This moisturizer is amazing! It has been my go-to night cream for years. I apply a generous amount every night. I have incredibly sensitive skin and this skincare line really works well for me. This cream helps to combat the dry skin we all face in the winter.
Clairsonic – Another product, or rather tool, that is not going anywhere for me anytime soon. The clairsonic is a brush that you use for daily cleansing with the cleanser of your choice. It gently exfoliates and I cannot say enough good things about it. It has done great things for the appearance of my skin!
Josie Maran Argan Oil Light – This is an ultra lightweight moisturizing oil that I have been using on my hair recently. Per the directions…it can be applied under makeup, as a daily moisturizer, nighttime treatment, and to heal and condition everything from cuticles to split ends. Wow…I actually had not read the full instrucitons until now. I think I will give it a try on my cuticles as well. This oil is very light and not greasy so it is a very nice consistency. It seems to work well for the ends of my hair whether I wear it wavy or straight.
Bite Beauty – Sephora has led me to discover this great line of everything for lips. The Luminous Cream Lipstick has a great texture and good staying power. Sometimes you have to choose and who wants to do that? I have used their lip crayons as well. My shade is Zin, but there are plenty of other colors I want! The creaminess of the lipstick is great because it does not dry out my lips like some other drier lipsticks can do. It is enough that you do not really need a gloss.
Tarte Inner Rim Brightener – Does anyone else have a dark circles that seem to creep a little bit into the inside crease of their eye? I must admit that I do, and I have tried a lot of products that are either cakey or difficult to apply. The Tarte Rim Liner goes on easily and helps to lighten up any area around the eye. Score!
Lavanila – This fragrance line is lovely. For years, I have struggled with finding a lot of perfume to wear because so many caused me to have headaches. This is light, and though the fragrances are Vanilla based they all have different accents. I have the Vanilla Lavender, but the Vanilla Grapefruit is a close 2nd choice.
Origins Eye Doctor– Moisture care designed for around the eyes for all skin types. I like to pat a little on in the morning before I put on makeup, and as part of my bedtime ritual.
Urban Decay Naked on the Run – This palette was one of my Christmas gifts this past year. It is no secret to anyone that knows me that I am a huge fan of Urban Decay. There are some amazing colored eye shadows, a blush/bronzer, and an eye liner as well as two products I have been using frequently. I keep those in my make up bag.
The mascara “Perversion” in Blackest Black does not smear and lives up to the hype of lengthening, volumizing and being all around fabulous. The Naked Lip Gloss (Sesso shade) is perfect for daily use as well. This kit would be perfect for travel as well as sitting on your vanity table or bathroom sink. It has everything!
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm – Cheap, affordable and moisturizing. Burt’s Bees can be found anywhere, and I always appreciate its natural ingredients. I keep lip balm in my gym bag, home office, make up bag, bathroom and vanity table. I am always looks for a little moisture boost.
There you have it – the latest beauty products I love. Enjoy your day, and I will see you on the blog tomorrow for some eats and treats via WIAW.
